ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) friendly fonts are types of fonts that are designed to be easily read by the computer programs used by many companies to screen resumes. These systems scan resumes for keywords and qualifications, and if a font is not easily readable, the information on the resume may not be properly parsed and the candidate may be overlooked for the job.

Some examples of ATS-friendly fonts include:

  • Calibri
  • Arial
  • Times New Roman
  • Verdana

It's important to use ATS-friendly fonts because using a unique or creative font that is not easily readable by the software may cause formatting issues or even prevent the resume from being read at all. This could cause the resume to be overlooked and decrease the candidate's chances of getting the job. Therefore, it is safer to use common fonts that are known to be easily readable by ATS systems.
