Tips & examples to write a great cover letter
After the purchase, we will first ask you to upload some relevant information. Then, you will be directed to our online calendar to book your first call with our Career Counseling team. Over this call, we will discuss the different types of cover letter writing we can offer, and agree on your first cover letter session.
We can guarantee a full cover letter written in your disposal within 3 business days.
Our cover letter writing team has years of experience, and has seen it all when it comes to cover letters. We guarantee you that we will not stop editing and reviewing it until you’re satisfied. Our process is built to make YOU confident in your cover letter, and bring you further in your career.
Your new cover letter will be added to your Enhancv account, and you’ll find it (once it’s ready) in your dashboard. You can then edit and download it freely.
Think of a cover letter as an addition to your resume. This means you shouldn’t repeat word for word what you say there, but instead, frame it with additional context to show why you’re the right fit for the job. A cover letter is still a formal document - and as such, it requires an introduction, a body paragraph, as well as a proper ending with a call to action.
Some companies still want cover letters, others prefer to ask some questions in the application form. Whatever your case is, make sure to read the job application carefully, and if a cover letter or a motivation letter is required, do write a unique one.
Things that shouldn’t be on your resume as well, such as grammatical errors, bland template phrases, as well as cliches like “goal-oriented” and “team-player”. Make sure you tailor it to the specific job, and don’t send the same cover letter to hundreds of employers, as this puts you in a bad light with them.
In case you’re familiar with the person who’s going to review your cover letter (you’ll need to do a little digging around their company LinkedIn Profile to uncover your manager, or check who posted the ad), you can include their first and last name, with a Mr or Mrs in front. You can also address it to the whole team (think “Dear Company ABC’s marketing team). We suggest avoiding subjects like “Hiring Manager” or “To Whom it May Concern”, as it’s far from being tailored.
You need nothing more than a polite “Sincerely”, followed by your first and last names. In some countries, you may need to add city and date, too. Other than that, a signature is not required, nor it’s expected.
