A complete guide to the Enhancv platform: managing your subscription

In in our previous guide, we went into detail about how to customize sections on your resume and improve its content. Today, we’ll discuss how to manage your subscription, payments, promo codes and promotional campaigns we’re currently running.

1. What plans does Enhancv offer?

We offer 4 types of plans. In case you’re not sure which one to buy at first, you can try our 14 days free trial and see what can the platform do for you. Keep in mind that it only gives you access to our basic features. After you see how everything works within the 14 day period, you can choose from the following plans:

  • Basic

With Enhancv’s Basic plan you’ll be able to create 1 Resume; use the basic sections, all icons, all colors, fonts, and backgrounds; and our Ask For Feedback feature which will let you share a link to your resume so that your friends can review it and give you feedback.

  • Pro Plans

Each of the Pro Plans will allow you to create up to 10 Resumes (and create a job-specific resume for each position you’re applying for).  You’ll have access to all design improvements and templates. (Use our Compact template in case you have extended experience and need to fit more on a single page) Also, you’ll have access to our Automated Content Analyzer which helps you improve every word on your resume.

Choose from the following:

  • Pro – Monthly – if you think a month is enough to find that dream job
  • Pro- Quarterly – 3 months is an optimal time to land a new job
  • Pro- Semiannual – in case you’ve been looking for options and need your resume always up-to-date

2. Upgrading to a Pro account

After you sign-up for Enhancv, you’ll be automatically put on our 14 days free trial. (Remember that it only allows you to try the basic features and functions.) Although you can create a good resume with our basic plan, our Pro features will help you craft an outstanding one. 🙂   

So, how do you upgrade? When logged in, in the top-right corner you can see a few buttons. They include 14-day trial (it will indicate how many days of a free trial you have left); Get 1 Free Month; and an orange button Upgrade – the one we’ll focus on now. After you hit Upgrade, you’ll be able to choose your plan and a payment option. 

3. Payment options and updating your payment details

When upgrading your account, you can either start a new payment and register your card or pay with PayPal. With both, the procedure is standard. All you need to do is fill in your details and the payment will be processed.

If you need to update your payment details (in case you have or want to use a new card; in case the platform sends ‘’card declined’’ message), go to your Account (top-left corner), then go to Billing & Plans, and press the Update Payment Method button. Once you input your new payment details press the Update button on the bottom of the page. This will do the trick.

4. Downgrading your account

Sometimes, you might want to downgrade to a Basic plan (or from a Semiannual to a Quarterly). Keep in mind that you will not be refunded for the time remaining.  Also, you can still use the plan you paid for up until the regular billing date – so if you cancel the Pro Quarterly, you’ll have access to that plan and features until the date of the next payment. To downgrade, go to the Account (top left button) and select Billing & Plans. From there, the platform will navigate you through the process. You can choose to Downgrade, Reactivate or Switch to a new account.

5. Cancelling subscription

We will be sad to see you go. But if you’ve found your dream job – then let us know so we can write about it 🙂 To cancel your subscription press the Account button in the top left corner, then go to Billing & Plans and hit Unsubscribe. After suspending your subscription you will not be charged again. The good news is, you will not lose access to your resumes and you will always be able to download them. The bad news is, you will no longer be able to edit them. Even if it’s adding just one more section.

To keep you updated on when the next payment is due, we send you email notification a week before. From then on, it’s up to you to cancel the subscription at anytime you’d like.

6. Redeeming a promo code

Important: Promo codes can be redeemed on a Monthly Pro Plan Only.

Did you receive a promo code? Great! How do you redeem it? If you are a first time user, click on Upgrade on the top right of the page after signing up. Then choose a Monthly Pro Plan and a tab where you can redeem your promo code will appear at the bottom. Write it in and follow the next steps the platform indicates. (See the visual above)

In case you already have an account, your promo code can be applied on your next new subscription.

7. Enhancv’s current campaign – Get 1 Free Month

At the moment, we’re running a campaign which can get you a Monthly Pro plan for free. All you need to do is invite 5 friends to start using Enhancv. After they confirm their email and sign up to the platform, too, you will receive your discount. Each friend will give you and your friend a 20% discount. In case only 3 of them confirm and sign up, you’ll get 60% discount. If all 5 subscribe, you get one month of Pro for free. You can redeem this discount on your next subscription. Afterwards, when processing the payment, the platform will automatically redeem it from the amount.
